Development of labour costs and unit labour costs after the accession of the Czech Republic to EU.

This study summarizes and evaluates fragmented information from EU countries and information from the USA in areas of labour costs, income taxation and unit labour costs. The study covers the period 2003-2008, includes the pre-accession year of 2003 and the following years after the accession of the Czech Republic to EU (since 2004). The evaluation of the fundamental problems of cost and efficiency of movement of labour within the proportions of change of the macroeco¬nomic framework is based on research results, which were formulated within the research project RILSA the years 2004-2010 (The status of total labour costs in the reproduction of economic and social relations in the Czech Republic)in the studies published by RILSA, the expert articles from the years 2004-2008 and researches made by the Czech and foreign institutions. With regard to the methodological fragmentation, Eurostat’s labour force statistics, national accounts, OECD, State financial statement of the Czech Republic and U.S. Department of commerce, Bureau of Economic Analysis data are used. Data specification and completion draw from prestigious institutions practices abroad and RILSA. The two years delay results from the processing deadlines for input data of Eurostat and ČSÚ.
