Labour costs and their structure in the Czech Republic in the period of prosperity after 2000.
Prague, RILSA 2010. 95 pp. - ISBN 978-80-7416-076-9

The authors attempt to define the core issues of labour costs development after 2000 in terms of boom and integration of the Czech economy into the single European market. The price and wage convergence gradually diminishes the competitive advantage of cheap labour in the Czech Republic.
The first chapter describes basic aspects of the position of total labour costs in the reproduction of economic and social relations. The second chapter defines the basic macroeconomic and institutional framework for the movement of labour costs since 2000 in the Czech Republic. The third chapter describes the information sources and their methodological limitations. The issue of labour costs movement and its differ¬entiation is dedicated to the fourth chapter. The authors follow the movements of labour costs in the Czech Republic in relation to the EU countries.
