Systems of day care for children up to the age of 6 in France and the Czech Republic
Prague: RILSA, 2013. 208 pp. - ISBN 978-80-7416-119-3

The current monograph is one of the main outcomes of the project „New forms of child day care in the Czech Republic,“ which aims to generate proposals for a broadening of the offer of non-family day care services in the Czech Republic on the basis of good practice examples from France. The monograph describes the systems of day care for children up to the age of 6 in both the countries in detail. The focus is on parental care in the context of family policy provisions, payment-based non-family individual care, as well as non-family collective care in its various forms. The characterisation of the two pre-school day care systems as such is complemented by an analysis of the supply and demand for various forms of day care services and provisions deriving from available resources in both the studied countries.
