Reassessment of the form of the institute of survivor pensions in the light of demographic changes
Praha: RILSA, 2015. 75 pp. - ISBN 978-80-7416-219-0

Survivor pensions are based on the historical social conditions in which man was a breadwinner and a woman stayed at home. The current form of the institute in the Czech Republic reflect a number of legislative changes following gender equality, but it needs to respond to changes in demographic trends. The paper focuses possible modifications of the institute of widow and widower pensions and the impact of such changes on the pension entitlements of women and men and balance of the pension system.
