The monograph describes methods of social security with regard to long term disabled people whose disability arose before the age of 18 years and who, due to such disability, are unable to earn a working income in various European countries. It detailed describes the legal framework, benefits to which are such people entitled (benefits in pay/benefits in kind) and from which part of the social security system benefits are paid (disabled pension insurance / state social support / subsistence minimum income, etc.), the benefit calculation method inclusive the amount of the benefit. Study presents the development in related legislation over the last 10 years and answers the question how are long term disabled people whose disability arose before the age of 18 years secured by moving within the European Union / to other countries.
