Convergence of labour costs in the CR to the European standards and its use in 2000-2008 (unit labour costs and the labour share in costs)
Prague, RILSA 2010. 82 pp. - ISBN 978-80-7416-080-6

The authors draw attention to key issues of development of work efficiency, expressed in unit labour cost indicators and labour's share in costs after 2000 in terms of prosperity and integration Czech economy to the Single European Market. As a result of price and wage convergence, the competitive advantage of cheap labour in the CR gradually weakens.
The first chapter summarizes the methodology of calculation of unit labour costs and labour's labour share in costs. The second chapter defines the basic macroeconomic and institutional framework for the movement of labour cost and their use in the CR since 2000. The third chapter describes the development of unit labour costs in the CR and the EU. The issue of labour's share in the costs and basic connections are described in the fourth chapter.
