Sharing pension assessment bases between spouses and partners living in non-marital forms of cohabitation
Praha: RILSA, 2015. 101 pp. - ISBN 978-80-7416-218-3

This monograph provides an overview of the potential for individual pension rights to be transferred by the insured to a family member or other person and the potential for the joint acquisition of pension rights of a number of people and their subsequent division in the pension legislation of Switzerland and Germany. The subsequent outcomes of the project consist of the presentation of various proposals for the introduction of such options into the Czech pension insurance system as well as an analysis of the micro- and macro-economic impact of such changes. Recommendations will be made at the end of the project on the suitability or unsuitability of applying the concept of sharing pension rights acquired through marriage and the possibility of transferring pension rights acquired through marriage in case of divorce in the basic pension system of the Czech Republic, especially with regard to the nature of the Czech pension system and the calculation formulae employed for the determination of pension benefits.
