Monography deals with trends in newly assigned full and partial disability pensions according to the most frequented ICD-10 chapters in the years 2003-2008. These are: Chapter II. Neoplasms,  V. Mental and behavioural disorders, IX. Diseases of the circulatory system, XIII Diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue. During the period monitored the number of newly assigned disability pensions within the Chapter IX Diseases of the circulatory system decreased. In contrary, but in accordance with European trends, number of newly assigned pensions in the chapter V. Mental and behavioural disorders increased.

Further, changes  during  2003-2008 in newly assigned full and partial disability pensions according to age, gender, region and particular most frequent diagnoses in above given  ICD-10 chapters have been evaluated.
