Description:

The aim of the project was to create a client-oriented interpretative dictionary of social security. The dictionary is intended for the broader, especially the non-expert public and the aim is to provide clarification of important concepts from the sphere of social security and other areas of social policy in a comprehensible way. The dictionary consists of a total of 13 thematic areas, i.e. old-age pension insurance, health insurance, medical assessment services, the international coordination of social security, state social support, material needs benefits, benefits for disabled persons, the care allowance, social services, the socio-legal protection of children, foster care, employment and minimum subsistence levels. The dictionary includes 397 interconnected keywords. The printed version of the dictionary was published by the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs together with the Czech Social Security Administration on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of its foundation and 90 years since the introduction of the first modern legislation on social insurance in the former Czechoslovakia.
The electronic version of the dictionary is available at: http://slovnik.mpsv.cz/.
