The main objective of the project was to both propose and justify a methodological tool that would provide significant support for a change to the current (non) use of the knowledge gathered in the context of social investigation for the purposes of the management of the granting of the Care Allowance in accordance with applicable provisions of Act No. 108/2006 Coll. on social services. The output of the project consists of the “Methodology of social investigation in the context of the Care Allowance” which will provide guidance for social workers from the Labour Office entrusted with the Care Allowance agenda with respect to what evidence should be gathered and in what ways such evidence should be collected from social investigation work in order that social information records be effectively used when deciding on the granting of the Care Allowance. The methodology was developed based on an examination of current practice via in-depth qualitative research and discussions with experts in the field. Moreover, an analysis was made of anonymised files from existing social information records with regard to the precision of the layout of the relevant information and its overall clarity and completeness. At the same time, foreign materials relating to this field were used for inspirational purposes.
