Description:

The output of the project presents publicly available data on the number of gambling houses/gaming rooms and casinos licenced by both the Ministry of Finance and individual municipalities in the Czech Republic as well as data, including the authors’ own estimates, on the number of people employed by such institutions in the context of sector CZ NACE 92 and those employed in the manufacture of gaming machines and terminals, which forms part of sector CZ NACE 32.40. The project also provides an overview of the companies operating in these sectors. In addition, the outputs of the project include the input-output analysis of data concerning an assessment of the impact of potential legislative changes on overall employment in these sectors in the Czech Republic and a case study containing an estimate of the impacts on employment in the district of Vyškov (Moravia).
