The library and information services department is an integral part of the Research Institute for Labour and Social Affairs, which gathers, processes and provides access to information on labour and employment, social policy and social protection, issues concerning the family and related matters. The department’s core is a library that provides comprehensive library services to RILSA staff and the general public and a documentation section where journal articles, legislation and special documents are stored and processed. A selection of the new library articles and documents is published monthly in the form of a documentation bulletin.

The library and information services department draws up ad hoc research, analyses and information on topical subjects.

There is an on-line catalogue enabling users to conduct their own searches for materials based on simple research criteria and then reserve items; users can also refer to the records of publications brought out by RILSA staff.

The catalogue allows users to download full-text materials published by RILSA.
