|Start of project:||2020|
|End of project:||2020|
|Description:||The project, which will be concluded in 2020, follows on from the long-term monitoring of the integration processes of foreigners from third countries in the Czech Republic, which was recently conducted for the Department of Asylum and Migration Policy of the Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic (MICR) and which formed the response to requests from EU institutions to establish a system for the monitoring and assessment of the integration of foreigners in host countries. The outputs of the project are being used as the basis for the compilation of the updated “Concept of the integration of foreigners - with mutual respect” by the MICR.|
The objective of the project is the continued monitoring of integration processes employing tried and tested tools and methodologies aimed at providing data for the assessment of the development and effectiveness of the integration of foreigners from third countries (FTC) in the Czech Republic. Specifically, it concerns the updating of the “System of quantitative indicators that serve for the monitoring of the integration of foreigners from third countries”. Selected indicators of the System will be monitored at half-yearly intervals and classified in terms of three thematic categories. The basic indicators include areas related to the residence of FTC: demographic characteristics, and employment, education and social inclusion factors. The analytical indicators consider the above values in more detail, and the comparative indicators express relations with the Czech population and foreigners living in the Czech Republic as a whole. In addition, as in previous years, the development of the opinions of the majority Czech society on foreigners living in the Czech Republic with respect to six selected subject areas will be monitored. The source of information for this part of the monitoring will consist (as in previous years) of data obtained from the regular omnibus survey conducted by the Public Opinion Research Centre of the Institute of Sociology, Czech Academy of Sciences (CVVM SOÚ AV ČR).
